Fun facts about Dr. B

If I had not become a psychologist, my dream was to become a writer. I love to read, and several books hold a lot of meaning for me and have changed the way I view our world. I always wanted to write a young adult novel that would do the same for someone else.

I was a radio DJ at KTXT during my undergraduate years at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. I had a Saturday evening time slot from 8pm to 10pm and some of my favorite memories are of riding my bicycle through a peaceful and empty campus to get to the studio.

One of the most common questions I am asked is “How do you manage stress?” First, I love to exercise- specifically weight lifting. The heavier the better! I lift weights in my garage four or five times per week. I also enjoy cooking (and eating), and can often be found cooking an elaborate meal to relax after a long day.
